Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup hot chocolate mix
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream (very cold)
  • 1 cup milk (regular or chocolate)

Instructions
 

  • Place a large bowl and mixer beaters in the freezer for about 15 minutes until well chilled.
  • Add the cold whipping cream, hot chocolate mix, and powdered sugar to the chilled bowl.
  • Beat on low speed for 30 seconds, then increase to medium-high speed.
  • Continue whipping until soft, fluffy peaks form and the mixture holds its shape.
  • Heat the milk until warm, or keep it cold if making an iced version.
  • Pour the milk evenly into two glasses.
  • Spoon or pipe the whipped chocolate topping over the milk.
  • Finish with desired toppings and serve immediately.

Notes

Use very cold cream, bowl, and beaters for best results. Stop whipping as soon as soft peaks form to avoid over-whipping. Adjust sweetness before fully whipping and serve immediately for the best texture.
