Equipment

  • Oven
  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • Mixing bowl
  • hand mixer or whisk

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until smooth and fluffy.
  • Slowly mix in the sweetened condensed milk until fully incorporated.
  • Sift in the flour and baking powder, then mix gently until a soft dough forms.
  • Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes until the bottoms are lightly golden and the tops remain pale.
  • Let cookies cool slightly, then dust generously with confectioner’s sugar before serving.

Notes

Keep cookies pale on top for the best melt-in-your-mouth texture. Use room-temperature butter and avoid overmixing. Dust with confectioner’s sugar while warm so it adheres well. Dough can be chilled 20–30 minutes if too soft.
