Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • spoon or spatula
  • baking sheets
  • parchment paper
  • cooling rack

Ingredients

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix (14–16 oz)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup neutral oil (vegetable or canola)
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix the strawberry cake mix, eggs, and oil until smooth and fully combined.
  • Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Scoop or roll the dough into 2-inch balls and place them on the baking sheets, spacing 1–2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 12 minutes, until edges are set and centers are still soft.
  • Remove from the oven and allow cookies to cool on a rack before serving.

Notes

Do not overbake—cookies will continue to set as they cool. If the dough feels too soft, chill it for 10 minutes before scooping. Mini chocolate chips work best for even distribution.
