4 slices of bread (sourdough, white, or whole wheat)
2tbsp butter (softened)
½cupmarinara or pizza sauce
1cupshredded mozzarella cheese

12 slices turkey pepperoni (or your favorite topping)
½tspgarlic powder
½tspItalian seasoning
2tbspchopped fresh basil (optional)
Optional Add-Ins:

Swap turkey pepperoni for vegan pepperoni to make it meatless
Instructions
Prepare the BreadSpread butter evenly on one side of each bread slice. Sprinkle the buttered sides with garlic powder and Italian seasoning — this gives you that signature pizza aroma as it toasts.
Assemble the SandwichPlace two slices of bread butter-side down on a clean surface. Spread marinara sauce on the inner sides. Add a layer of mozzarella, Parmesan, and pepperoni (or your chosen toppings). Cap with the other slices, buttered side up.
Toast Until GoldenHeat a skillet over medium-low. Place the sandwiches in and cook for about 3–4 minutes per side. Press lightly with a spatula to help the cheese melt evenly. Flip carefully when the underside turns golden brown and crisp.
Serve and EnjoyTransfer to a cutting board and rest for a minute (it’s hot!). Slice diagonally, garnish with fresh basil, and serve with a side of warm marinara for dipping.
