  • 1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with frosting)

Maple Bacon Filling + Topping

  • 8 slices thick-cut or regular bacon
  • 2 tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup (for glaze)

Instructions

  • Bake the Bacon
    Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Line a baking sheet with foil and arrange bacon strips in a single layer.
Bake for 15 minutes to partially cook the bacon.
  • Glaze the Bacon
Mix brown sugar and 1/4 cup maple syrup in a small bowl.
Brush the mixture over the bacon.
Return to the oven for 15 more minutes, or until glossy, caramelized, and crisp.
  • Cool & Chop
Transfer bacon to a paper towel–lined plate.
Reduce oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
Once cooled, chop bacon into small pieces.
Reserve half for filling and half for topping.
  • Fill the Cinnamon Rolls
Unroll each cinnamon roll dough piece.
Sprinkle bacon pieces inside (use half).
Roll dough back up and arrange rolls in a greased round baking pan.
  • Bake
Bake at 350°F (175°C) following package instructions until golden and puffed.
  • Make the Maple Glaze
Combine the included frosting with 1 tablespoon maple syrup.
    Stir until smooth and pourable.
  • Finish
Spread the warm rolls with maple glaze.
    Sprinkle with the remaining bacon.
Serve immediately for maximum gooey deliciousness.

Notes

  • Always use pure maple syrup for best flavor.
  • Let the bacon cool completely before chopping.
  • Avoid overspreading glaze on very hot rolls to prevent runoff
