Ingredients

  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated cinnamon rolls
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Optional

  • ¼ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce for drizzling

Instructions

  • Prep the crockpot: Lightly coat the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick spray or line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Cut the rolls: Open the cinnamon roll can, separate each roll, and cut into quarters. Place the pieces evenly in the crockpot.
  • Make the sauce: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Pour this buttery mixture evenly over the rolls.
  • Add cream: Drizzle the heavy cream over the top — this is what creates that irresistible gooey texture.
  • Cook: Cover and cook on low for 2 to 2½ hours or until the rolls are puffed and cooked through. Avoid lifting the lid too often; it traps steam that keeps the dessert moist.
  • Finish with glaze: Once done, let it cool for a few minutes. Mix powdered sugar and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth, then drizzle the glaze over the warm cake.
