Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt for a lighter version)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven: Set to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Season the chicken: Pat dry and sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper. Arrange evenly in the prepared dish.
  • Make the creamy sauce: In a bowl, whisk together sour cream, cream of chicken soup, and chicken broth until smooth. Pour this mixture evenly over the chicken.
  • Prepare the topping: In another bowl, combine crushed Ritz crackers, Parmesan cheese, and melted butter. Stir until the crumbs are evenly coated.
  • Assemble: Sprinkle the buttery cracker mixture evenly over the chicken and sauce.
  • Bake: Leave uncovered and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the topping is golden.
  • Optional finish: For an extra-crispy crust, broil for 1–2 minutes — but watch closely!
  • Serve: Sprinkle with parsley and serve warm with your favorite sides.
