Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • grill or skillet
  • Spatula
  • meat thermometer

Ingredients

  • 680 g ground chuck (80/20)
  • 3 tbsp sour cream
  • 2 tbsp ranch seasoning mix
  • 0.33 cup cooked bacon, finely crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • lettuce (optional topping)
  • tomato slices (optional topping)
  • pickles (optional topping)
  • mustard (optional topping)
  • mayonnaise (optional topping)

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, gently combine the ground chuck, sour cream, ranch seasoning, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese until just mixed.
  • Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and form into patties. Press a small indentation into the center of each patty to promote even cooking.
  • Grill or pan-fry the patties over medium heat for 5–6 minutes per side, flipping carefully, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  • Place the cooked burgers on toasted buns, add desired toppings, and serve immediately.

Notes

Avoid overmixing to keep burgers tender. Chilling patties briefly before cooking helps them hold together. Toasting the buns adds extra flavor and texture.
