Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1/4 cup diced jalapeños
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • tortilla chips or crackers, for serving

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy using a hand mixer or spatula.
  • Fold in the shredded sharp cheddar cheese until evenly combined.
  • Stir in the cooked and crumbled bacon until distributed throughout the mixture.
  • Add diced jalapeños, chopped green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  • Transfer the mixture to a serving dish and smooth the top with the back of a spoon.
  • Pour barbecue sauce evenly over the top and gently spread into a thin layer.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to meld.
  • Remove from the refrigerator 15 minutes before serving and serve with tortilla chips or crackers.

Notes

Soften cream cheese fully before mixing for a smooth texture. Adjust jalapeños to control heat level. For best flavor, refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving. Remove from the refrigerator 15 minutes before serving for easier scooping. Not recommended for freezing due to texture changes.
