Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked ham, diced
  • 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese, divided
  • 10.75 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs (optional)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken, diced ham, and 1 1/2 cups Swiss cheese.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Pour sauce over the chicken mixture and stir gently until evenly coated.
  • Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Top with remaining Swiss cheese. If using, mix bread crumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the top.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.
  • Let the casserole rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use rotisserie chicken to save time. Avoid overbaking to keep the casserole creamy. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving so it sets properly. Gruyere cheese can be substituted for Swiss for a richer flavor.
