Equipment

  • Oven
  • baking sheet
  • serrated knife
  • small mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 2 buttery croissants
  • 1 medium apple, thinly sliced
  • 115 g goat cheese, softened
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 0.25 tsp ground cinnamon
  • fresh arugula (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
  • Slice each croissant horizontally using a serrated knife.
  • In a small bowl, mix the goat cheese, honey, and cinnamon until smooth.
  • Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the croissants.
  • Layer the apple slices on top and add arugula if using.
  • Place the top halves back on the croissants to form sandwiches.
  • Arrange on a baking sheet and bake for 5–7 minutes until warm and lightly crisp.
  • Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

Notes

Let the goat cheese soften before mixing for easy spreading. Slice apples thinly for the best texture and bake just until warmed through.
